Your Folk Garland

Course Cancelled

A garland of people

Cancelled due to low enrolment numbers.  We are offering a second Personalised Paper Cut Initial Card on this date instead.

You will create a ‘Your Folk’ Garland, using your own ideas and sources of inspiration to draw, cut and hang together a decorative Garland that has meaning for you or as a special gift to someone else.

It could be a garland of family members, friends, a sports team, an Up Helly Aa squad, a boat crew, pets, or favourite flowers - wherever your imagination takes you!

You will need to have thought about who or what you might want to depict and have some source pictures for ideas to work from - this could be photos, drawings or even a tablet or phone to search for images on the internet.

You will need to bring the following:

  • Pencil and rubber
  • Water-colour paints and brushes, and/or coloured pencils/pens
  • Source pictures/photos/images
  • There is an additional charge of £1.50 for card and paper, payable to the tutor.

Please be aware we will be using sharp knives and scissors.  The process of cutting card can be hard on the joints of the fingers, hands and wrist; therefore this class may not be suitable for anyone with problems or injuries in these areas.
