She had lost her confidence to complete tasks at work, and the worry that she might lose her job, was beginning to affect her mental health. After an initial meeting with Adult Learning to discuss the challenges she faces, Julie was booked in for several appointments and shown the different tools she can use to help minimise the impact of her dyslexia. She tried out coloured overlays, apps, note taking techniques, and came up with a list of things she thought her employer could support her with too.
“I’m so glad I got told about Adult Learning. They have been so supportive. I’m using the tools I learned about in my work, and I don’t panic so much when I’m asked to do certain things. I feel a lot more confident at work and in my home life”.
