The sessions are free, informal and are designed for anyone curious about the role, the experience required, or how the Adult Learning programme operates. Organisers stress that attending does not commit participants to taking on a tutoring role; instead, it offers an informal opportunity to ask questions and learn more about what’s involved.
The information sessions will be delivered at various locations:
- Tuesday 24th February: 1pm - 2pm or 5.30pm - 6.30pm, Islesburgh Community Centre;
- Thursday 12th March: 6pm – 7pm, Carnegie Hall, Sandwick;
- Tuesday 17th March: 6.30pm – 7.30pm, West Mainland Leisure Centre.
If you are unable to make any of the above dates, online session can be arranged at a time that suits you.
The initiative aims to broaden the pool of community tutors by reaching out to people who may already have valuable skills or experience they could share with adult learners.
