Nature Connection Taster Session Lerwick
Ref: 3715
Please note that this class will now take place on Tuesday 7 June.
Join me for a restorative session in nature. Take a moment to slow down, to notice, hear and learn from the natural world around you. This takes some practice in our faster paced, technology heavy, and busy lives but once we get into the habit of consciously connecting with nature on a regular basis we begin to reap the scientifically proven rewards. Benefits can include improved physical and mental health. Let's take a wander and recharge as we go!
We will meet at Islesburgh Community Centre and then head outside, so dress appropriately for weather on the day. Wear comfortable shoes, and a warm waterproof jacket, hat and gloves if it's cold. It is a good idea to bring a backpack with a bottle of water or a flask of tea/coffee and you can keep your belongings in there if not wearing them. The session will be adapted and moved indoors if the weather is considered too poor on the day.
This class is free of charge as it is funded by Scottish Government’s ‘Community Based Adult Learning Recovery Fund’ which aims to help improve engagement of adult learners in community-based learning opportunities.
