Knit a Fair Isle Gansey

Ref: 0014

Learners should have some experience in knitting Fair Isle.

We will begin with planning your design - size, colours, style, stitches etc.  Books and samples will be available for ideas.  We will look at different yarns and knit a swatch to test tension. Then for the following weeks we will have a knit along, working to complete your project and discussing the different stages from week to week.

Learners should bring a set of three knitting needles size 3.25mm or 3.5mm, two balls of Shetland jumper weight wool, or 4ply in contrasting colours and a knitting belt if desired.
