Learn more about life in Neolithic/Bronze Age Shetland with a walk to Staneydale ‘Temple’ – excavated just after the war by Charles Calder and surveyed again in 2008 by Simon Clarke and Esther Renwick (UHI) and by Ditlev Mahler (Uni of Copenhagen) in 2010.  Explore the site including the new features identified in these surveys. No experience necessary.

Suitable for anyone capable of walking for over an hour over uneven ground.  Please bring appropriate clothing and wellies/waterproof footwear (unless very dry!)  Due to limited parking on site some car sharing may be necessary.
