Survey Monkey Results

Posted: 7th March 2011

In December 2010 we sent out a survey monkey with the aim of trying to find out what agencies know about the provision Adult Learning provides and identify where the gaps are.

Not everyone is familiar with the targeted work Adult Learning does on Literacies, English for Speakers of Other Languages, Return to Learn programmes, Employability workshops and Family Learning.

Results:

62.5% of you said that you would like more information about Adult Learning and 90% of you said you'd be prepared to display leaflets and/or posters in your workplace. We have been busy improving and re-vamping our range of leaflets and have included a few new ones too! In addition we have created a set of posters. All of these are available on our website, www.learnshetland.com and from our offices at the Old Library Centre.

We decided to create a specific leaflet for agencies with information about all our services. From the survey feedback we received this seems to be a key area for improvement. We have recently been busy distributing this new leaflet to partners and service providers. We hope you find it useful.

56% of survey respondents did not know about the Adult Learning website and 71% had not used the new website. We are going to try and do some targeted promotion of the website in the months to come. In addition our staff will now display a link to the website on the bottom of all email correspondence.

32% of respondents were keen to recieve Adult Learning newsletters. We are now producing a quarterly newsletter, which can be downloaded from our website, www.learnshetland.com and the council's Intranet. All partners and service providers will be emailed a copy. Paper copies are available on request.
